Happy Day,
My family and I are going to California this month. Needless to say, we are incredibly giddy.
We may be coming out of this disturbing time in history. Or not. Either way, it's been a wonderful two months of anticipation.
No matter what is happening in our lives, I know that there is one thing we can be anticipating and that is the coming of Summer.
To make it a family-focused summer, FFTC is bringing Summer to Remember Adventure 2021 back. I was wrong when I said it was launching last Saturday. It's not actually launching until June 14, but Sign Up is available now. And it's free!
It's gonna be an AMAZING summer with all kinds of family fun to be had!
But you gotta sign up to be a part of the Adventure.
Five things that we can do while we anticipate summer.
- This podcast: Another reading podcast, but this time it's for you. I love this podcast about reading. If you are looking for some ideas for summer reading, Modern Mrs. Darcy just about to release their Summer Reading Guide. The descriptions of the books are short, but long
enough to give you the important details.
- This instagram post: We are anticipating the summer, right? Here's one way to actually get ready. I love good practical suggestions for things to have. I've heard that these beach towels work well as blankets on a long plane ride, too. I may need to order some quick before we leave.
- This YouTube: This is another way to get ready for the summer. This YouTuber's voice kind of drives me crazy with her enthusiasm for the Dollar Tree, but at the same time it wouldn't be better if she acted like it was boring.
- This quote: This is for all the moms on Mother's Day!
- This thing about my kids: To get ready for our trip, we've had to ask our kids to give up quite a bit to be able to semi-quarantine. We are missing our last party day of our co-op. Our oldest couldn't work at camp like she had wanted to. We can't go to church. We can't see our friends. Our kids have been pretty sad about missing some milestones, but watching everyone rally for the
good of the trip has been heartwarming.
