Howdy,
This email was intended to go out last Thursday for MEA. Sorry, it's a late, but everything in this email is good information for any time of the week.
We had the opportunity to enjoy my daughter's college band concert. Technically, it was an orchestra concert, choir concert, and band concert. Every musical ensemble performed songs from Broadway. The band played '76 Trombones" from The Music Man, "My Shot" from Hamilton, and a medley from Mamma Mia which concluded the entire show with "Dancing
Queen."
Do you know what I learned from that concert? Let me tell you.
It was one of my favorite concerts ever because the audience was invited to participate. And boy, did we. When the band began to play "Dancing Queen," all the lights went down, a disco ball rotated through the whole
auditorium, and the entire audience belted out the lyrics.
When the lights came up, we all stood with huge smiles on our faces. What a fun concert. And what a
fun reminder that it's important to participate as often as we can. Participating in the events give them so much more meaning.
And participating in our kids'
lives, give our lives so much more meaning. Oh, there goes Gianna getting deep again. But it doesn't need to be big stuff. "Dancing Queen" was maybe 2 minutes long. And it made the entire concert a success.
You don't even need to come up with what to do. That's what FFTC is here for.
